KoreaVibe Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 15, 2026
Last updated: August 15, 2026

KoreaVibe operates the website available at https://koreavibe.co.kr/. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you visit KoreaVibe, contact us, use the site search, follow an external link, or interact with advertising and consent technologies that may be provided through the website.

KoreaVibe is an independently operated informational website covering Korean beauty, music, fashion, entertainment, language, and culture. KoreaVibe is not an official representative of the Korean government, an entertainment company, an artist, a beauty brand, or any organization mentioned in its articles.

If you have a privacy question or wish to exercise your privacy rights, contact the KoreaVibe site operator at richchoicontact@gmail.com.

1. Information KoreaVibe processes

KoreaVibe does not currently provide user accounts, membership registration, public comments, online payments, reservations, or newsletter subscriptions. Visitors are not required to provide their name or create an account to read the website.

Depending on how you use the website, the following information may nevertheless be processed.

1.1 Information provided by email

If you contact KoreaVibe by email, the following information may be processed:

  • Your email address;
  • Your sender name or display name, if provided;
  • The subject and content of your message;
  • Any files or images you attach;
  • The date and time of the message; and
  • Technical email metadata generated during transmission.

This information is used only to identify and respond to your inquiry, review correction or copyright requests, handle privacy complaints, prevent abuse, and complete necessary follow-up actions.

Please do not send passport numbers, national identification numbers, financial account information, payment-card information, medical information, passwords, or other sensitive information through email. KoreaVibe does not request this information. If such information is received without a valid reason, KoreaVibe may delete it after taking the minimum steps necessary to address the inquiry.

Email inquiries are normally retained for up to one year after the inquiry has been resolved and are then deleted unless a longer period is required to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim or to comply with applicable law.

1.2 Server, access, and security information

When you visit KoreaVibe, the web server and hosting infrastructure may automatically process technical information such as:

  • IP address;
  • Date and time of access;
  • Requested page or file URL;
  • Referring page, where provided by the browser;
  • Browser type and version;
  • Device and operating-system information;
  • Language settings;
  • HTTP response status; and
  • Information related to errors, suspicious requests, or security events.

This information is processed to deliver website pages, maintain site availability, diagnose errors, prevent unauthorized access and malicious traffic, investigate security incidents, and protect KoreaVibe and its visitors.

KoreaVibe does not use server logs to create named visitor profiles. Any separate server or security logs accessible to KoreaVibe are retained for no longer than 90 days unless a longer period is necessary to investigate a specific security incident or comply with applicable law. Logs controlled independently by the hosting provider are managed under the provider’s applicable settings, contractual terms, and legal obligations.

1.3 Site search information

If you use the search function on KoreaVibe, the search words you enter are sent to the website server so that matching pages can be displayed. Search terms may also appear temporarily in server access logs as part of the requested URL.

KoreaVibe does not maintain a separate named profile based on site searches. Search information contained in server logs follows the server-log retention practice described above.

1.4 Advertising, cookies, and consent information

KoreaVibe may use Google AdSense as part of the site-review process and, after approval, to display advertising that helps support the operation of the website.

When an AdSense tag, advertising service, or consent-management service is enabled, Google and Google-authorized advertising providers may process information such as:

  • IP address;
  • Browser and device information;
  • Language settings;
  • Requested page URL and referring URL;
  • Cookie identifiers and other online identifiers;
  • Approximate location derived from an IP address;
  • Advertising impressions, clicks, and interactions;
  • Fraud-prevention and security signals; and
  • Consent or privacy-choice signals.

The exact information processed depends on your location, device, browser settings, consent choices, Google advertising settings, and the advertising technologies active at the time of your visit.

2. Purposes and legal grounds for processing

KoreaVibe processes information only where there is an appropriate purpose and legal basis under applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, the purposes and legal grounds may include:

  • Providing the website: delivering requested pages, responding to search requests, and maintaining essential website functions;
  • Responding to inquiries: taking steps requested by a person who voluntarily contacts KoreaVibe and pursuing the legitimate interest of providing a response and resolving complaints;
  • Security and reliability: protecting the website, preventing abuse, diagnosing technical problems, and investigating security incidents;
  • Legal compliance: complying with applicable legal duties and responding to lawful requests;
  • Advertising and measurement: supporting the operation of the website, measuring advertising performance, limiting advertising frequency, and preventing invalid traffic or fraud; and
  • Consent: using cookies, local storage, or personal information for advertising personalization where applicable law requires prior consent.

Where processing is based on consent, you may refuse or withdraw your consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files that a website or service provider may store in a browser. Similar technologies include pixels, web beacons, tags, local storage, advertising identifiers, and other technologies that store or access information on a device.

KoreaVibe itself does not require visitors to create an account or log in. However, WordPress, the hosting infrastructure, security features, Google AdSense, and consent-management technologies may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for purposes such as:

  • Delivering and securing the website;
  • Remembering privacy and consent selections;
  • Limiting how often an advertisement is displayed;
  • Selecting contextual or personalized advertising, where permitted;
  • Measuring advertising performance;
  • Detecting invalid clicks, fraud, abuse, and security threats; and
  • Maintaining service reliability.

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies or local storage may affect certain website, consent, or advertising functions.

Browser controls are independent of KoreaVibe. The location and names of these controls depend on the browser and device you use.

4. Google AdSense and third-party advertising

KoreaVibe may use Google AdSense to provide and measure advertising. Google and other advertising providers authorized through Google may place and read cookies in your browser or use web beacons, pixels, IP addresses, and other identifiers as a result of advertising being served on KoreaVibe.

Google and participating advertising providers may use information about your visit to KoreaVibe and visits to other websites to provide advertising based on your interests when such personalization is permitted by applicable law and your consent choices.

You can manage or disable personalized advertising provided by Google through Google Ads Settings.

If personalized advertising is disabled or consent is refused, non-personalized or limited advertising may still be displayed. Such advertising may use general information such as the content of the page, browser type, language, approximate location derived from an IP address, fraud-prevention signals, and privacy choices. Advertising measurement, security, and invalid-traffic prevention may also continue where legally permitted.

More information about how Google processes information from partner websites is available at:

Advertising providers and technologies may change as Google’s advertising systems and KoreaVibe’s settings change. Where an applicable consent message is displayed, the current list of advertising providers and their processing purposes can be reviewed through the message’s privacy or vendor settings.

5. Visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland

When advertising technologies are enabled, KoreaVibe uses a Google-certified Consent Management Platform that integrates with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland where required.

The consent message allows eligible visitors to:

  • Accept or reject applicable advertising cookies and similar technologies;
  • Manage choices by processing purpose or advertising provider;
  • Review the advertising providers that may receive or use information;
  • Choose whether information may be used for advertising personalization; and
  • Change or withdraw a previous choice.

If you refuse consent, personalized advertising will not be provided on the basis of that consent. Non-personalized or limited advertising may still be displayed where permitted, and limited information may continue to be processed for security, fraud prevention, consent management, legal compliance, and basic advertising measurement.

You can reopen the privacy-choice interface through the “Privacy and cookie settings” link when that link is displayed on the website. If the link is temporarily unavailable, you may also clear the relevant site cookies or contact KoreaVibe at richchoicontact@gmail.com.

6. Visitors in U.S. states with privacy rights

KoreaVibe does not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, the use of online advertising technologies may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for targeted advertising under certain U.S. state privacy laws.

Where required and technically available, visitors may be shown a regional privacy message or a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control. Eligible visitors may use that control to communicate an opt-out choice relating to the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising as defined by applicable law.

Google may process advertising requests subject to restricted-data-processing settings after receiving an applicable opt-out signal. The availability and legal effect of a particular choice depend on the visitor’s location and the law that applies.

7. Service providers and other recipients

KoreaVibe uses third-party infrastructure and services to operate the website. Information is disclosed only to the extent necessary for the relevant service, legal obligation, security purpose, or user request.

7.1 Cafe24

KoreaVibe uses Cafe24 hosting and related infrastructure to make the website available. Cafe24 may process server and network information, including IP addresses, request information, technical logs, and security information, for hosting, delivery, maintenance, troubleshooting, backup, and security purposes.

Cafe24 processes information under its applicable service terms, privacy notices, settings, and legal obligations.

7.2 Google and Gmail

KoreaVibe uses a Gmail address to receive and respond to inquiries. When you send an email to KoreaVibe, Google may process the message, sender and recipient addresses, message metadata, attachments, and security information to provide the email service, filter spam, prevent abuse, and maintain service security.

Google may also process advertising and consent information when Google AdSense or Google’s consent-management services are enabled, as described in this Privacy Policy.

7.3 Advertising technology providers

Google may work with other advertising technology providers, advertisers, measurement providers, fraud-prevention services, and advertising buyers. Where required, the current providers and purposes are displayed in the consent-management interface.

7.4 Legal and security disclosures

KoreaVibe may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, a court order, or a lawful request from a competent authority;
  • Protect the rights, safety, and security of KoreaVibe, visitors, or other persons;
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, copyright infringement, or security incidents; or
  • Establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

KoreaVibe does not disclose email inquiries or directly identifiable visitor information to third parties for the purpose of allowing those third parties to send their own marketing emails.

8. International processing

Some service providers used by KoreaVibe operate infrastructure in more than one country. As a result, information processed through Gmail, Google AdSense, Google consent-management services, advertising technology providers, or related security systems may be transferred to or processed in countries outside your place of residence.

Google states that it operates servers and data centers in multiple countries and applies safeguards described in its privacy and international data-transfer materials. More information is available through Google’s advertising data-transfer information.

The Google contracting entity, recipients, transfer locations, and advertising providers applicable to KoreaVibe may depend on the AdSense account, visitor location, consent selections, and advertising services active at the time. Where required, further information is provided through Google’s consent interface and the privacy notices linked in this policy.

Visitors who do not wish to provide information through email may choose not to contact KoreaVibe by email. Visitors may also manage cookies and advertising choices using the controls described in this policy. Refusing or restricting certain advertising technologies may reduce advertising personalization but does not normally prevent access to editorial content.

9. Data retention and deletion

KoreaVibe retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was processed, subject to the periods described in this policy and any applicable legal obligation.

  • Email inquiries: normally deleted within one year after the inquiry has been resolved;
  • Separately accessible server and security logs: normally retained for no longer than 90 days, unless needed for a specific security incident or legal matter;
  • Search terms appearing in access logs: retained according to the same server-log period and not separately maintained as a named profile;
  • Consent and privacy choices: retained as necessary to remember, apply, and demonstrate a visitor’s choice under the applicable consent-management settings and law; and
  • Google advertising information: retained by Google and participating providers according to their own policies, user settings, processing purposes, and legal obligations.

When information is no longer necessary, KoreaVibe deletes the electronic record using methods intended to prevent ordinary restoration. If a record must be retained under applicable law or for a specific legal claim, it is restricted to that purpose for the required period.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request:

  • Confirmation of whether KoreaVibe processes your personal information;
  • Access to personal information KoreaVibe holds about you;
  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Deletion of information that is no longer required;
  • Restriction or suspension of certain processing;
  • Withdrawal of consent;
  • Objection to certain processing;
  • A copy of information in a portable format where applicable; and
  • Review of an applicable advertising privacy choice.

To submit a request, email richchoicontact@gmail.com and describe the request clearly. KoreaVibe may ask for information reasonably necessary to confirm that the requester is the person concerned or an authorized representative. Do not send a passport, national identification number, or financial information unless specifically and lawfully required.

KoreaVibe will respond within the period required by applicable law. A request may be limited where retaining or processing the information is required by law, necessary to protect another person’s rights, or subject to another lawful exception. If a request cannot be fully granted, KoreaVibe will provide an explanation where required.

You may also manage Google advertising personalization directly through Google Ads Settings.

11. Children’s privacy

KoreaVibe is a general Korean culture and entertainment information website and is not directed primarily to children under 14 years of age.

KoreaVibe does not provide a child-focused registration form and does not knowingly request personal information from children under 14. If KoreaVibe learns that personal information requiring parental consent has been received from a child under 14 without an appropriate legal basis, KoreaVibe will take reasonable steps to delete it or obtain the legally required authorization.

Parents or legal guardians may contact richchoicontact@gmail.com if they believe a child has provided personal information to KoreaVibe.

12. Information security

KoreaVibe applies reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the scope and risk of the information it processes. These measures include using encrypted HTTPS connections, limiting access to website administration and inquiry information, maintaining software and security updates, reviewing suspicious access, and deleting information that is no longer required.

No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Visitors should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by email.

If KoreaVibe becomes aware of a personal-information incident, KoreaVibe will take reasonable steps to contain and investigate the incident and will provide any notice or report required by applicable law.

13. External links and third-party websites

KoreaVibe articles may link to artist websites, entertainment companies, beauty brands, retailers, social media services, news publications, government websites, video platforms, or other third-party resources.

A normal external link does not by itself give KoreaVibe control over the third-party website. When you choose to follow an external link, the destination website may collect information under its own privacy policy, cookie settings, and terms. KoreaVibe is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites.

14. Analytics and future services

As of the effective date of this policy, KoreaVibe does not use a separate Google Analytics tracking tag on its public pages. Advertising measurement performed through Google AdSense is separate from Google Analytics and is described above.

If KoreaVibe later introduces a newsletter, user accounts, public comments, a contact form, affiliate tracking, a separate analytics service, payments, reservations, social-media pixels, or another service that materially changes how information is processed, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when the new processing begins, as required by applicable law.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

KoreaVibe may update this Privacy Policy when website functions, service providers, advertising settings, legal requirements, or information-processing practices change.

The effective date and last-updated date at the top of this page will be revised when the policy changes. If a change materially affects how personal information is processed, KoreaVibe will provide a reasonably prominent notice on the website where appropriate.

Previous versions of this Privacy Policy will be retained or made available where required so that visitors can identify the period during which each version applied.
